Week 36.

Week 36: Almost there!

I went to the doctor yesterday and i'm 2cm dilated and 70 % thinned out.  So basically this means any day now!  I've been feeling like my water is going to break at some point almost everyday.  It's hard to explain the feeling but my mind races and I repeat, "Oh my God, Here we go!" but sadly, nothing happens. Also, last week, I finally had my Maternity photos done!  I wasn't going to do them but everyone kept saying that I would regret not doing it.  Luckily, my Mom's best friend, Chrystal Cox, came through and donated some of her talent of photography.  I don't have them yet to show off but as soon as I do, I will post them.  Until then....lets be patient.

Weight:  BIG! I've gained 30 pounds!!!
Cravings: Smoothies and Bar-B-Que
Cons:  I'm so heavy, it's hard to sleep
Pros: Almost there!!!

We also had an Ultrasound at 35 Weeks and the Doctor said she was about 5.5 pounds and 18" long.  She also has plenty of hair and she looks JUST LIKE JOSH!  At this visit they confirmed I was 1cm dilated already!

Weeks 25-31: Its been a while!

31 Weeks Pregnant!  Its been a while since I last updated my blog.  Sorry!  I've got a lot to catch up on.  Since last I've had my glucose test and passed!  I've had several appointments and all have gone well except I do, in fact, need to drink more water.  Story of my life!  And this Saturday is our Baby Shower!!  We're having a cookout and we only invited our closest friends and family.  We ordered two cakes from Cecila's Cakes in Athens, Ga.off of Prince Ave. (Strawberry 3 milk cake and Raspberry!)  I'm mostly looking forward to seeing everyone and eating those cakes!!! Yum yum... And my Brother Eric will be cooking so there's no telling what "secret ingredients" he'll be using. Ex: A few cigarette ashes, some peppah, a little pinch of garlic, some JAP-a-lenos, some hair from his back, hint of fart, and the most secret ingredient of all...frog tail. LOL If you've ever eaten at the Walls Home and Eric cooked, you know what i'm talking about! It tastes so good but don't dare ask what's in it! hahaha....

Weight: gained 24 pounds total! Big girl! 159 and holding.  I will cry when i'm 160.
Cravings: Japanese and Pickle flavored chips.
Weeks prego: 31, 8 weeks to go (or less)
Pros: Almost there, everyone seems excited, ready to get this over with!
Cons: Braxton Hix, cant sleep, constant worry, STRESS, swelling, cant drive well, etc.
Goal:  Trying to stay somewhat active.

Nursery photos:  We are about 90% finished.

24 weeks, 6days along

These past few weeks I cant stop craving Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, which is super bad for you!  I've got that diabetes test coming up in 2 weeks and I might just test positive due to all the sugar I've consumed lately!!  It's just, when I see that bright, red sign, gleaming, I run!!  Man-o-man are they good.

I was considering asking for a preferred customer discount but i'm sure there's someone else whose passion for junk food is way stronger than mine.

Weight:   Gained 15 pounds total! Probably all doughnut weight!
Cravings:   Doughnuts!
Mood:   Easily aggravated
Motivation:  Got a lot going on these next few months so hopefully the time will pass by quickly
Cons to pregnancy:  Bad gas, always tired, nothing fits, and not ever looking forward to clothes shopping
Pros to pregnancy:  Everyone seems nicer to you, food tastes amazing, you actually look cute fat, and your hair grows faster and thicker

January 16th ,2012~22 weeks & 1 days~2nd trimester~125 days to go.

This week we painted a mural of a tree with owls.  Took approximately 20 to 25 hours! It was the first and last mural i'll ever do! Also this week Cadence calls her Baby Sister her baby! So cute! She's also "acting" like she's a baby again.  I love the attention from her.

Cravings: Olive Garden Salad
Weight:  Lets dont talk about that! haha
Stretch marks: Not yet
Missing out:  I wish I could go snowboarding with Josh.  I just started to get good last year and I have a brand new board that has never touched the snow!
Plans: Maybe a savings account for retirement.

ALSO!!! We have picked a name:
Elizabeth Tensley Robinson
but calling her by her middle name Tensley.

I hope you all like it but if you don't, remember, it's not your baby! haha...

I also purchased some things this week for Miss Tensley:

Cute headbands and crocheted hats.  EVERY color to match any outfit!

The Bedding I bought is from Pottery Barn.  I got her name embroidered on the quilt.

WEEK 20

This week we found out we're having a girl!
FINALLY! Now I can share my nursery ideas:

As you can see, I REALLY like owls. Haha... I've got so many good ideas.  now, if I can just pull it all together!  Also, the answer to so many questions, yes, we've picked a name.  We actually have two in mind and we're thinking of waiting til we see our little girl to name her.  It's like a puppy.  How can you name it before you see it?? But I will give you a hint, its unique and one-of-a-kind!

Weeks 18-19: Starting to show!

This Friday I will be half way there!! Yay! And I had my next appointment changed to Friday so now we will be able to see what the baby is . . . boy or girl?  This whole time I've just known that we're having a boy, but now, I'm feeling a girl.  I even had a dream of holding a fat, pale baby girl.  Oh come on Friday!!

This past weekend was Christmas.  Man did Santa bring Cadence a ton! I'm not sure when she was good but apparently it was enough to get presents.

Also this week I got the chance to meet the legendary, Vince Dooley.  And if you don't know who he is . . . well then you're not a Dawg fan!

Weeks 16-17 Ultrasound

Saturday Josh and I went to Baby's First Images in Lawrenceville to see if we could find out just what we're having.  However, after about 20-30 minutes of looking, no sex was REALLY found.  The legs were crossed the whole time and I later found out that i'm dehydrated which can cause you to have . . . well . . . not so great ultrasound images.  Also, the ultrasound tech made what we call a "prediction" but I can say I didn't see what in the hell she saw.  I even had the entire session recorded on DVD and I've watched it 100 times and NEVER saw any hamburgers or turtle heads. Now we have to wait until January 5th to find out! Plus, I still havent posted anything on Facebook and half of our friends don't even know that i'm pregnant!

Weeks 12-13

These past two weeks have been dragging about... I did find out that one of my Best Friend's is expecting: Mary Ekard.  CRAZY STORY:  We had an interesting conversation a few months ago.  Ironically, Mary and Jason have been married for quite some time now and have been trying to have a baby forever! I made the trip to Athens to tell them my news and it was a bittersweet moment.  They said, "Well, we are so happy for you, but we are going to finally give up on trying." I said jokingly, "Well, here, let me rub off on you a little." And we all made light of the situation and had a good laugh.  A month later, they are pregnant!! I told them I  as fertile, all I have to do is touch my friends! LOL...

Right now so many people are pregnant including:
1.  My Best Friend, Jena Fields (girl)
2.  My old boss, Emily Howell (girl)
3.  My other Bestie, Mary Ekard
4.  Amber Dills Chester just had another baby boy!
5.  My Best Friend in High School, Afton Baker (girl)
6.  Jessica Gunter (girl)
7.  Tonya Mize (girl)
8.  Shea Totherow just had a baby girl!
9.  Summer Schwartz just had another baby girl!
10.  My cousin Zach Eubanks and his girlfriend just had a baby boy!
11.  ME!!

And i'm sure there's more and i'm forgetting them but, I have pregnancy brain! haha...

I found this and thought it was cute:

AND.....we still haven't announced to anyone but close friends and family that we're prego! Its Josh's fault!!

This week I had my very first doctor's appointment.  I met with Dr. Jenkins and he is absolutely amazing!  He also gave us a free ultrasound which told us that he baby is healthy and there's only one baby! Thank the Lord! He spent a lot of time with us and eased our minds with answering a lot of questions.  Here's Dr. Jenkins....

Also this week, Josh and Cadence put together the Crib.  Here's some pictures of the two hard at work.

Week 10: The Nursery planning

This week we set up the new crib and discussed Nursery plans for Baby Robinson.  This was a lot of fun to create.  It can be found on the Rattles and Rhymes website.  As of right now, we are patiently waiting until next Tuesday which will be my first doctors appointment!  I've changed my mind about ten times on what OBGYN I want to use but I've finally decided to go with Dr. Jenkins in Gainesville and deliver at Northeast Georgia Hospital.  Also this week, Josh told his closet friends about the baby.  Most surprised was Lee.  I knew he would be because he's most kind out of all those meat heads! haha...

CRAVING:   Spicy Chicken biscuits from Chic-fil-A dipped in ranch! OMG!
WEIGHT:   Gained 1.4 pounds! (This says one point four not fourteen! LOL)
PRO:    Hair and nails look awesome
CON:   Gassy, throat hurts, ill, constantly complaining
FACT I LEARNED:   You burn 500 calories when you breast feed daily
DEFEAT:   Learned I cant do a pull-up

Me: Almost 9 weeks

This is the first picture of the photo journal.  As of today, I'm 8 weeks and 4 days along.  I'm feeling really tired and i'm spending most of my days sleeping.  I had my iron checked this morning and everything is great! The baby is getting plenty of oxygen.  Amazing! I've gained one pound.  According to the doctor I could gain 4 more pounds because i'm actually slightly underweight for as far along as I am!  Can you believe that?! That's a first! Well Anyways, enjoy the photos! more to come.

IntelliGender Quest

This week we heard about the new "craze" IntelliGender.  Here's what the website has to say:

Girl or Boy?

Share the joy!

IntelliGender's Gender Prediction Test bridges the curiosity gap between conception and sonogram. Our urine-based test is easy to perform in the privacy of your home, with results ready in minutes! Our Gender Prediction Test is the fun pre-birth experience moms are talking about! Discover whether you may be having a boy or girl as early as 6 weeks pregnant.

Interesting right??  So, I set off on a quest to RiteAid just to fulfill my curiosity.  I paid $28.99 for the new IntelliGender as seen on NBC and Dr. Oz.  Here's how it works; you pee in a cup, use a syringe to extract a sample and place it in the indicator.  If you're pee turns orange its a girl, if it turns greenish-black, its a boy.  Since the test has to be done first thing in the morning at 6a.m. this is what we read:
